The collection that is in the gold museum has been declared as national heritage and is considered the most important in the world in its genre. This museum was created in 1939 and gathers 34,000 pieces of goldsmith's work and 20,000 pieces of lithic objects, ceramics, precious stones and textiles such as Quimbaya, Calima, Tayrona, Sinu, Muisca, Tolima, Tumaco and Magdalena, among others. It is possible to admire gold pieces such as pectorals, masks, poporos, bracelets, pendants, containers, necklaces and hundreds of figures in good condition.
